For more than three years, the Agape team worked closely with the Fosters, navigating extensive legal and logistical hurdles. Throughout the long process, the Fosters never wavered in their commitment. Their dedication culminated in Lisel Maria’s adoption in May 2025.

Lisel Maria’s adoption—and every success story like hers—could not have happened without your support. The intensive, extended advocacy we undertake for these hard-to-place children can be exceptionally costly. For example, traveling to Honduras to meet Rodney and Lisel Maria was an expense beyond our standard model. Other costs are higher simply because finalizing some adoptions takes much longer than usual. But we’ll never let expenses stop us from securing loving homes for children who desperately need one.
