Agape Adoptions provides highly personalized, professional adoption services. It is our passion to place children in families marked by unconditional love and acceptance. We offer families a high level of personal care and education, and we commit to tireless advocacy on your behalf.

Executive Director

Myriam Avery, MA has traveled to many countries helping adoptive families and is skilled in working with US Embassy’s and Consulates worldwide. She's provided direct service to hundreds of families in the nearly 20 years shes been working in the international adoption field. She has helped process adoptions from China, Uganda, Bulgaria, Romania, India, Korea, Thailand, Vietnam, and Nepal. She has also worked with families who have adopted children in the United States. 

Myriam is dedicated to the orphaned children of the world who are in need of permanent loving homes. She has extensive knowledge regarding all aspects of the adoption process, and has completed a published thesis on international adoption. 

Myriam has two biological boys and two daughters adopted from China. She is honored to be a part of any family’s adoption process.

Director of Social Services

Debby Fields  Debby Fields, MS, LMHC, has a Master’s degree in Marriage, Family and Child Counseling and is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor.  Debby has worked in the field of adoption since 2006, providing home studies
and post adoption supervision and support.
She is honored to be part of the process of
building families through adoption.
Debby lives in Edmonds with her husband and
two daughters.  What Debby likes best about working at Agape Adoptions is seeing the
delight of parents as they bond with
their children and the joy of children
who know they are loved and cherished.  


    She is also a Trust Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) Practitioner and Educator.

Home Study & Post Placement Assistant

Lacey Shelley received her Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Grand Canyon University in 2016. Since Lacey has experienced adoption firsthand, she quickly developed a passion for helping other children find their forever families. The idea of working with international countries and people from all different walks of life also inspired her to join Agape Adoptions' team. When Lacey is not working, she enjoys being with her friends, snuggling with her cat, and anything that has to do with art. Her ultimate dream vacation would be to go back to China and visit the city where she was born. 

Post-Placement Coordinator

Tesia Hsieh has a great passion for working with children and families in the international adoption field. She grew up in Southern California, where she received her bachelor’s degree in Cognitive Psychology from the University of California, Irvine. Besides playing music, one of her favorite things to do is travel because she loves meeting people from different cultural backgrounds. Because of this she received a TESOL teaching certificate to work with English students from different countries. Tesia loves seeing children get placed into loving homes and working with them as they progress and thrive.

Adoption Program Analyst 

Lyndsey Casey has a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a K-8th grade teaching certificate from the University of Washington Tacoma. Lyndsey was a teacher for five years before working for Agape Adoptions. She joined our team in 2015 because she felt a strong connection towards adoptions and helping children find families that will love them unconditionally. When Lyndsey isn’t working she loves spending time with her husband. She also enjoys reading, hiking, running, baking, going on adventures, and being crafty.

Adoption Social Worker

Tiffany Didrickson, MEd, has a Master's of Education degree in Guidance and Counseling.  She began working in adoption because of a passion for bringing orphaned children into loving families. She has worked since 2011 providing home study and post adoption services to families and joined the staff at Agape Adoptions in 2015.  Tiffany and her husband have four active children and have personal experience going through the international adoption process.  She and her husband adopted their then 5 year old daughter from Ghana in 2013.  Tiffany understands the myriad of emotions that families go through during the adoption process and enjoys helping to prepare families for the journey.    

  Adoption Social Worker 

Bill Soderberg, MSW, LICSW, has a Master’s Degree in Social Work and is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker. He has also completed a Post Graduate Attachment-Trauma Certification. Bill has worked in the field of adoption since 2006, providing home studies and post adoption supervision and support. In addition to his work at Agape Adoptions, Bill works with children, adults and families in a his private psychotherapy practice, which focuses on issues related to family planning, adoption and foster care. Bill feels that it is a gift to be able to help others realize their dream of expanding their family through adoption. Bill lives in Seattle, Washington with his family, which includes two adopted children.
