Agape Adoptions was founded in 2010 by seasoned adoption professionals and parents who were deeply passionate about the world’s orphan crisis. Less than a year after opening our doors, we were granted full Hague Accreditation by the Council on Accreditation, a prestigious milestone for our agency. Together, our staff brings over 30 years of experience in adoption to provide you with current, thorough, professional care on your adoption journey.
Agape Adoptions is a licensed Child Placing Agency and 501(c)3 charitable organization located in Sumner, Washington. We are also licensed by the state of Oregon.
Myriam Avery, MA has worked in the adoption field for almost 20 years. She has provided direct service to hundreds of families during the adoption process and helped process adoptions from Romania, India, Korea, Thailand, Vietnam, Nepal, Panama, and China. She has also worked with families who have adopted children in the United States. Myriam has traveled to many countries helping adoptive families and is skilled in working with US Embassy’s and Consulates worldwide.
Myriam is a dedicated to the orphaned and needy children of the world who are in need of permanent loving homes. She has extensive knowledge regarding all aspects of the adoption process, from beginning to end, and has completed a published thesis on international adoption.
Myriam has two biological boys and two daughters adopted from China. Myriam is honored to be a part of any family’s adoption process.
Director of Social Services
Debby Fields has a Masters degree in Marriage, Family and Child Counseling. She has worked in the field of adoption since 2006, providing home studies and post adoption supervision and support. She truly enjoys getting to know the families she works with and is honored to be part of the process of building families through adoption. Debby lives in Edmonds with her husband and two daughters. What Debby likes best about working at Agape Adoptions is seeing the delight of parents as they bond with their children and the joy of children who know they are loved and cherished.
Adoption Homestudy Coordinator
Jasmine Khim is a Washington native who received a bachelor's degree in Sociology from Pacific Lutheran University. She is also currently serving in the Army National Guard. Jasmine was drawn to Agape Adoptions because she has a passion for working in a field that is dedicated to helping children and families. In her free time she enjoys traveling, hiking, and spending time with loved ones.
Tesia Hsieh has a great passion for working with children and families in the international adoption field. She grew up in Southern California, where she received her bachelor’s degree in Cognitive Psychology from the University of California, Irvine. Besides playing music, one of her favorite things to do is travel because she loves meeting people from different cultural backgrounds. Because of this she received a TESOL teaching certificate to work with English students from different countries. Tesia loves seeing children get placed into loving homes and working with them as they progress and thrive.
Adoption Program Assistant
Lyndsey Casey has a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a K-8th grade teaching certificate from the University of Washington Tacoma. Lyndsey was a teacher for five years before working for Agape Adoptions. She joined our team in 2015 because she felt a strong connection towards adoptions and helping children find families that will love them unconditionally. When Lyndsey isn’t working she loves spending time with her husband. She also enjoys reading, hiking, running, baking, going on adventures, and being crafty.
Social Workers/Home Study Providers
Agape Adoptions works with various Social Workers who provide home study and post placement services to our families. Each Social Worker has a minimum of a Master’s Degree in Social Work or a related field. Our Social Workers are committed to the high ethics and standards of Agape Adoptions.
